Watched the film “(500) Days of Summer” with the GF last Friday,the music was awesome: Smiths,Doves,Temper Trap and Joseph Gordon-Levitt wearing an “Unknown Pleasures” t-shirt,singing his heart out with a cool rendition of “Here Comes you Man” (bonus track in the OST).
While the movie itself was meaningful,it was also slightly depressing,bringing back memories from past romantic disappointments and heartbreaks,but the music,the acting,especially Joseph Gordon-Levitt as a romantic and indie-loving nerd (hmmm,sounds familiar) and the close-ups of Zooey Deschanel’s face and (OMG) eyes were definitely worth it.
Bottom line:While this is a very good film IMHO,I think this would be the only time I’ll watch it in a long time,the memories still hurt,although it did make me more conscious to the fact that i have a wonderful person at my side,I’ll definitely stick to the soundtrack.
